I can’t tell you how many times I order a coffee and they put the sipping part of the lead right over the crack in the cup. This drives me crazy because the first thing that happens is drip, drip, drip all over my hand and down my shirt.

I’m really annoyed with the new tea latte campaign… they’re charging latte prices for a cup of tea, 3 pumps of a syrup and a tiny dollap of steamed milk. It is a tasty drink, no doubt, but I’ve stopped ordering them unless work is buying, because I feel totally ripped off. Not only that, but it is frustrating that they can market the “london fog” like they created the drink, when people have been ordering london fogs for YEARS at small coffee shops around the world. This isn’t some new starbucks creation that they should be taking credit for. They’re even too lazy to call it something else. But back to the feeling ripped off part. A tall tea is $1.60… lets say you add syrup, that is an additional .30. So technically, if I wanted to just throw on a bit of cream from the condiment stand, I could save almost a buck every time, because they are charging normal latte prices ($2.75 with tax) for a tall tea latte. I admit, it tastes better with steamed milk, but that doesn’t really matter in this case, because I’ve noticed that the baristas basically a splash of steamed milk at the end–not what I would expect for a drink called a latte. When I worked in a coffee shop, we’d throw in the extra steamed milk on someone’s tea for free… that is called good customer service.
Count me out on the tea latte. I’m embarrassed for you, Starbucks. You plagiarize like a middle schooler hoping to get an A for when you put in no effort.

We just waited literally 10 minutes for our drinks at the Cook road Starbucks… And there was no apology for the wait, no free drinks, nothing. Excuse given? Bad steam. Boo Starbucks! We thought being in the northwest the stores would be a little better, a little more professional.

Alright so this isn’t Starbucks’ fault … but the customer in front of me this morning grabbed multiple samples off the sample plate. Seriously. This is NOT your opportunity for a free breakfast. Leave some free samples for the rest of us! Ok, really it was more humorous than anything and I suppose if they were that hungry then they probably needed it more than me

People who don’t know what they’re ordering. People say that they feel lost when they go into a starbucks for a first time, or a second time, or anytime, but c’mon get with it. Pay attention to the barista, don’t ask for clarification on every single item on the list, just order something that sound good and try it out.

Dear Emo Banged Barista,
I’m sure it is tough to get out of bed in the morning, fix your hair to be the perfect mix between southern bangs and emo bangs, and then have to go work for “the man.” Well you are working for the man, so please treat me a paying customer with some respect. I don’t know why your boss lets you act like you’re working at one of those lazy hipster coffee shops, but somehow you get away with it. Here are a few suggestions:
- Make eye contact when asking me what I want to drink
- Be friendly
- Move… faster
- Smile, even once in a while.
- Learn how to do something else other than stare at your monitor all day.
- Hand me my change/receipt rather than put it down on the far side of the counter from me.
Thanks,
Non hipster paying customer

People that talk and talk and talk to the person at the register. There is a line behind you. There are other people that are in a rush.
I’m sure the barista is very interested in the fact that you worked overtime this weekend, that your sister is sick, that you’re going on vacation soon, that your dog was acting crazy this morning, that you keep exact change in your purse, and all of that. But those behind you that just want a simple cup of coffee, they don’t care. Move on! Talk to the person when there is nobody behind you, when they’re on break if they care to be around you!

To all current customers, aspiring customers, and haters: Please, realize that working at Starbucks is sometimes no walk in the park. Yes, you should indeed be getting precisely what you ordered, but if you don’t, please don’t assume we did it out of spite. We are human, and we do make mistakes. Everyone is learning at their own pace, and everyone is different. Do you all really think that the majority of baristas are looking to stay with Starbucks forever? No. There seems to be a trend amongst customers, a disturbing trend, that partners should withstand massive amounts of verbal abuse, make immaculate drinks, and be able to recall MASSIVE amounts of information regarding the different roasts of coffee alone. I know that’s life, and I believe me, I do just deal with it. But we’re all just working stiffs, and we deserve respect for the bending over backwards that a good deal of us perform on a daily basis.
